Huge, giant thanks to my brother-in-law Paul! The pool project is complete and looks beautiful! It has already been christened by my grandkids. I even got in last week! And if you know me, you know I am a big cold-water sissy. The weather here has been alternately hot and humid or pouring down rain, but the result is the water is a little bit warmer than usual. Great peace in this finished product.

Julie Guard Briney and Marsha Holloway introduced me to the great peace and joy of kayaking this weekend. I'd never been but have always wanted to give it a try. These gals made it happen.

What a lovely way to spend an afternoon! It was completely relaxing and I never tipped over, not once! Ahhhhh! Thanks to my gal pals for this opportunity! Friends, sunshine, a little boat, and a body of water. Mix together gently. Create memory.

My porch is my favorite place to be. I love to write out there or drink my coffee and listen to the birds. Scott covered it for me about 10 years ago and we have spent countless hours enjoying it since. This year it needed some repair, so I had the boards and railing replaced and I love it.

I could feel my Tall Man's approval as I navigated this process on my own. Gosh, all the stuff that he 'just did' makes me ache for him. This project was definitely something I would have classified as "The Dad Book" material. Every time my wind chime jingles, I know he is cheering for me as I check things off the list out of The Dad Book!

As always, thanks for reading my ramblings. Enjoy your pools, porches, and playtimes with your blessed friends and families! Peace!!
