Momma got a new car!

So, the Thursday before Easter, I had a wreck. A big one. With three of my grandkids in the car with me. Jesus was definitely riding with me that day because we were all fine. But the car was not. A split second of distraction ended up with my vehicle attacking a power pole and ripping the side of my car clean off. I am astounded, although GRATEFUL, that there were no injuries. If you saw the car, your heart would have been in your stomach. But we were fine. Thank you, Jesus!

This was this first car purchase I have ever done solo. Scott was a car salesman's nightmare. He did his homework, and you better believe, you left with the best deal possible, or you left in the car you arrived in. My family who are reading this are chuckling. I know they are! Big Scott was the guy you wanted to take with you to the dealership, for sure.

The whole thing from accident to car purchase was a huge AFF. My sister, Dede went with me to St. Louis after two weeks of research (channeling my tall man.) I found a gorgeous, white Hyundai Palisade on Car Guru. As soon as they pulled it up front, I knew I had found my car.

The funny thing, Scott hated a white vehicle. He was all about the dark colors, black or navy blue. But I've always wanted a white car. So now I have one and I love it. And my grands think it's fabulous. And I did it all by myself, with my sister's help, of course. No tears, no freak out.

That was Tuesday. Wednesday brought the meltdown with the signing of the old title. It was in both our names. Had to dig up the horrible death certificate again. So, I had a few days of sadness again. Then, on Sunday, I was driving home from St. Louis and an owl flew right over my new, white car. Hello, Baby. Thanks for the visit and for being okay with my car choice.
